  • Super excited for our June exhibition! Let's give a big S.Dot Gallery welcome to Maeryn Kelly!

  • Maeryn Kelly is a 10yr old girl from Mason, OH, who will be entering the 6th grade in the fall. From a young age, Maeryn could be found creating. Whether it’s drawing, painting, photography, cooking or any assortment of random crafts and creations, she is always making.

  • Dot & Dorrie are enjoying the colorful decor and trying to sneak a piece of pizza.

  • In August of 2016, Maeryn was diagnosed with pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Her artistic passion served her well, as she spent the first 37 days in the hospital with few visitors allowed. Throughout this journey, she has leaned heavily on her creative talents as an outlet from treatment.

  • Nature is a big inspiration in Maeryn's work.

  • To know her is to know her light, the light she brings in to any room with her sweet and genuinely loving personality. This past year, Maeryn has shown strength, grace and resilience that few possess. Because of these traits and her creative nature, Maeryn was invited to show her artwork at the S.Dot Gallery in June.

  • Maeryn's dog Scarlet came along. Shhhh, don't tell Dot and Dorrie!!!!

  • Flowers

Maeryn's work uses strong colors which are inspired by personal emotions.

  • The Mui of Rapa Nui guard the gallery.

  • Looks like Maeryn rode her bike to the gallery.

  • Sunset

"When I am painting I am calm so I painted something that made me calm".

  • Hot Air Balloon

Using acrylics, her paintings are playful in nature and use nontraditional configurations, which gives the feeling of a puzzle, bringing the audience in closer, not to solve, but to notice.

  • Always busy creating!

  • Hmmm, the ever elusive gallery director missing again.

  • Groovin'!

  • Thanks so much Maeryn for sharing your art work with us, we can't wait to see what creations you make next. xoxo
