  • Hmmm, whats going on inside S.Dot Gallery? Floor looks very different.

  • Whoa! And so do the walls!

  • Lets step inside and explore....

  • but we better take our shoes off, seems the floor has become art this month too.

  • Of course, Its "Tiny Out Loud" director Andrew Ina. He is always thinking outside the box.

  • Gallery assistant Dorrie advising.

  • Looks like A. has decided to share his new work with us, how awesome is that?!

  • S.Dot Gallery is pleased to present "Unusual Circumstances : New works by A. Ina"

  • Wow! The whole downstairs is an installation in itself!

  • We feel like we are living inside a painting, a new experience for sure.

  • Colors POP!

  • Meta mirrors....

  • and great places to have beers.

  • S.Dot is dressed head to toe, the floor is incredible!

  • The first floor is it's own installation, titled "Come in, stay a while"

  • Why thank you, don't mind if we do!

  • Is the director in?

  • Nope, but looks like she has been busy writing up painting sales from this show!

  • Since we have decided to stay awhile, let's read the artist statement! "What I look for is not harmony but a contradiction. Moments when a painted surface can create space and reject illusion simultaneously. The Compression series is a group of intimate scale works. They are stacked layers of paint that are completely different in nature. The most exciting aspect of this process is drying, cutting, and assembling paint as a collage element. However, this gesture imposes an unorthodox structure to the material, resulting in a potent, confrontational surface. The end result is an odd and imperfect fusion of traditions. In the same way, the two installations have a peculiar relationship with the space. Come in, Stay A While immerses the viewer in a lush, vibrant environment. It is a disorienting and visceral play on our understanding of physical and illusionary space. Things Are Not Always As They Seem is a piece that relies on direct light to produce an indirect, yet vibrant, exchange of color. Each work challenges the viewer’s perception of an object or a place and how it changes based on the circumstance."

  • Can't wait to see the second installation, let's head upstairs.
